Personnel Extinguish Fire in Cakung

A pile of burning used goods on Jalan Tipar Cakung RT 03/08, Cakung Barat Urban Village, Cakung, Thursday (6/27) at around 5:55 AM this morning, was successfully extinguished by East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency personnel.

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman, said this incident is thought to have been triggered by burning residents' rubbish, the fire spread to piles of used goods on an area of 80 square meters. Local residents who tried to extinguish the flames were unsuccessful due to the lack of water sources.
Short Circuit Triggers Fire in Kelapa Dua Wetan"It was suspected that residents were burning rubbish. Because the wind was strong enough, the fire quickly spread to piles of used goods in the surrounding area," Gatot said.
Gatot added his side deployed six firetrucks and 28 personnel to extinguish the fire.
"One hour after the incident or at 7:58 AM the fire was finally extinguished," he added.
There was no victim caused by the incident.
